Farrah Fawcett, an American actress, artist and model best recognized for her role of the 'The Apostle'. She was nominated seven times in the Golden Globe Award and four times for the Emmy Award. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, the actress began her career by appearing in commercials. Her TV guest appearances include "I Dream of Jeannie," The Flying Nun" along with other series. Her debut film role was in the role of an actress in the French film titled 'Love Is A Funny Things.' Her name was recognized worldwide for her iconic red swimsuit which was the highest-selling poster of all time. In the following years she was featured on numerous other TV shows and films which helped to establish her place in the sex industry as an iconic figure. Her popularity was reflected in her performance as a private detective in the drama series "Charlie's Angels". The show featured the exploits of three women who worked in an agency for private detectives situated in Los Angeles. The actress was known not only for playing glamourous parts, but also for her dramatic roles including the battered lady in the TV Film 'The Burning bed. In 1989, at age 59 she was diagnosed as suffering from anal cancer. The cancer died three years later.
