Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father, a professor of theater in one of the top Romanian drama schools, is also an instructor in theatre. In 2000, the Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. The award was given to her as an European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She was in 2007 the lead role in as a character in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film where she starred. She was also in 2008 as Yasim Anwar in the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. Later she was Irma's German Aunt in Fury that was released in the year 2014.
